Mark Trevethan of North Devon Flooring, who carried out the installation, noted: "We have worked with Tarkett for many years and have always found their products very easy to handle and install. The range of product features ensures they tick all the right boxes for the customer. We were delighted to be working with them again on this project where ease of fitting was a real bonus due to tight time constraints."
Tarkett's Safetred Spectrum is a specialist safety flooring that combines sustainable R10 slip resistance performance with attractive design. Available in 16 colours, it is suitable for all heavy traffic areas where enhanced slip resistance is required. Tarkett's unique Safety Clean PUR reinforcement makes Safetred Spectrum much easier to clean and maintain, reducing costs by up to 30% and helping to limit the consumption of water, energy and detergents used in cleaning regimes. The PUR treatment is also reinforced with slip resistant granules, in addition to those within the wear layer, to provide lasting performance.
The dining hall at Pilton Community College was also refurbished, utilising 200m2 of Tarkett's Supreme Wood resilient floorcovering. A wood-effect was chosen for this area to give it a more ‘homely' feel. The 0.7mm PVC wear layer gives very good resistance to indentation, abrasion and scratching. And Supreme Wood also features a PUR reinforcement to reduce cleaning and maintenance, with no wax or polish needed throughout the flooring's lifetime, while a
Sanitized treatment protects it from premature ageing and gives hygiene benefits.
