Educators will be heard with Infrared Wireless Microphone System!
Published:  18 June, 2009

Panasonic introduce the new Infrared Wireless Microphone (IRW) System set to revolutionise the teaching environment in classrooms across the country. The system enables teachers to be heard from the front to the very back of a classroom giving each student ‘front row advantage' through voice amplification and infrared technology.

The System is aimed at promoting an improved learning and teaching experience by providing a solution to increase both pupil listening and concentration skills during class. The system enables pupils' the ability to hear a teacher's voice at the highest quality regardless of their location in a classroom.

Research conducted in the USA suggests an increase in pupil success rate by 100% over a three month period when using the system.

The system incorporates 2ch infrared receiver, infrared sensor, amplifier and speaker in its compact unit. With high quality sound and versatile multimedia capability, the system is designed to provide equal and clear spreading of sound to give the speaker complete sound control and freedom of movement.

Students will learn the lesson in class

The design of the neck microphone enables free and active body language as well as the opportunity for teachers to lecture without having to raise their voice for attention, saving both voice strain and exhaustion. Panasonic hopes this improved teaching environment will enable a more relaxed and interactive communication pathway to be achieved between pupils and teachers.

Panasonic's major goal is the promotion of a better educational system.  Furthermore, an urban elementary school in Salt Lake City Utah found a

10-15% gain in pupil test scores in classrooms equipped with an IRW system. This research was based over a four-year period with comparisons being made between a classroom equipped with the solution and classrooms non-quipped.
