In partnership with GL Floors of Edinburgh, Junckers used the 1000m2 floor at Dundee International Sports Centre (DISC) as a test bed when developing an effective maintenance programme for the 25 year period of the BSF/PPP Schemes. It is over 12 years since Dundee International Sports Centre (DISC) installed their premium Junckers sports floor and it looks as good today as they did then.
Bi-annual applications of Junckers' specialist finishing products have proved the floor could be maintained both easily and in a cost effective way using the Approved Maintenance procedures and products. The re-sealing process is extremely quick and even an area as big as 1000m2 can be resealed and back in use in just over 48 hours. This process has eliminated the need for costly sanding and relining of the sports hall floor and minimized down time for the centre, which could have a serious impact on revenue. Similar schemes are being carried out successfully all over the UK by Junckers Approved Contractors.
