Striking logo greets school visitors
Published:  16 April, 2009

A striking 2m diameter reproduction of a school logo is featured in sheet vinyl safety flooring from commercial flooring specialist Polyflor, which has been installed in the entrance hall at The Radclyffe School, a specialist technology college for pupils aged 11-16 in Oldham, Lancashire.

Incorporating the school motto and a red rose motif and inset into a solid blue colourway from the extensive Polysafe Standard colour palette, the logo forms an eye-catching centrepiece to welcome visitors and pupils to the new state of the art school, opened in 2008. The logo was created via the Polyflor Expressions Design Service which uses computerised water jet cutting techniques to produce a variety of precise shapes and styles for inlaid decoration.

Polysafe Standard offers a choice of 16 fresh, modern colourways and a surface emboss which hugely enhances its cleanability. Quartz crystals, aluminium oxide and silicon carbide particles are incorporated within the product for improved traction and safety underfoot.
