UK first in-school shoe fitting service
Published:  25 March, 2009

The launch of Twofeet at the Bollin School brings professional shoe fitting into schools for the first time. Twofeet is all about protecting the health of children's feet and raising the awareness of the damage that ill-fitting shoes can do to long term health. Schools can also download free Twofeet worksheets on feet and foot health from the Teachingzone website to use as part of their curriculum.

The school benefits as well, as a donation from each pair of shoes sold is given back to the school on return for hosting the service. By buying from Twofeet, parents are directly supporting their child's school.

The Twofeet team are all professionally trained shoe fitters. Adrian Rose, Twofeet's Regional Sales Manager with over 20 years experience fitting shoes says: ‘Fitting a shoe to a human foot, particularly a child's is an incredibly skilled job." Advice on the medical importance of well-fitting shoes is a key part of the Twofeet service.

No two children's feet are the same and, dependent on the brand, shoes fit completely differently, so the Twofeet range has been selected to provide shoes to suit all shapes of feet. Children are also particularly hard on their shoes and so the shoes selected have got to be durable enough to withstand tough treatment.

Some children need three or four pairs fitted before the perfect fit is found. At each stage the team explains to parents and children alike what they were looking for and why a certain shoe was better for their child than another.

Twofeet are also proud to be working with Sportsaid and similarly donate money from sales to this worthwhile charity that is supporting our athletes of the future.
