With Aruba's technology, Homewood School has been able to completely redesign its education process. Teachers and pupils can access real-time resources from anywhere with the school's digital curriculum set up via the school's Portal Learning Environment. The Aruba implementation has opened up a range of opportunities to create an exciting and engaging personalised learning experience - for example, the school has provided its 2,100 pupils with Tablet PCs, no longer limiting when and where learning takes place.
"Mobile computing is increasingly revolutionising the learning process throughout the education sector today. The installation of Aruba's wireless LAN has delivered tremendous benefits for Homewood School - not only by streamlining the communication and delivery of educational materials but also in terms of flexibility, cost, and interactivity for students and staff alike," said Bob Vickers, UK General Manager for Aruba Networks. "And, with Aruba's centralised mobility system, Homewood can securely control access to the school's IT infrastructure, preventing any external security threats from entering the network."
