Technician training event
Published:  15 March, 2007

With over three hundred delegates, the annual Scientific & Chemical (SciChem) Educational, Environmental and Health & Safety seminars being held at Haydock Park, represent the largest laboratory technician training event in the UK this year.

Running from 19th – 21st March 2007, the seminars provide training for science technicians working in schools and college science departments across the UK, as well as industrial laboratory personnel.

The SciChem event has evolved from a simple catalogue launch and exhibition back in 2001, to include the highly popular training seminars which have seen another half day added to the programme this year in order to meet demand. And, for the first time SciChem have introduced professionally run, dedicated laboratory-based seminars.

As usual, the event is backed by SciChem’s key suppliers and manufacturers - around 50 this year - and there will be an opportunity to view new products and discuss requirements at the accompanying supplier exhibition.

On Monday 19th March, a half day event centres on two seminars whose topics are pertinent to the day-to-day operation of companies and organisations. Both are aimed at quality control departments and laboratories in industry, pharmaceuticals, utilities and universities, or anywhere where analytical science, testing and chemicals are used.

Beginning on the 20th March is a two day event designed for anyone involved in science education in secondary schools and colleges, from science technicians, science teachers and Heads of Science, to educational inspectors and advisors.

Full details of the event and the seminar, including booking information, can be found on-line at: www.scichemworld.com
