The first fully featured laptop for children
Published:  09 January, 2009

UK computer manufacturer Zoostorm has recently launched the Fizzbook - the first fully featured laptop designed around the exclusive needs of children aged 6-14. Unlike previous laptops for children, the Fizzbook includes a full Windows® operating system and an Intel Atom processor powerful enough to run day-to-day software applications, games and standard computer peripherals.

If you are interested in the Fizzbook for the classroom or for the family then come along to BETT to see what all the fuss is about. BETT is the world's largest educational technology event taking place on 14-17 January 2009 at Olympia, London. The Fizzbook will be demonstrated on the Intel and SMART stand throughout the event.

The ultra portable Fizzbook is based on the second generation Intel Classmate PC, which has been successfully launched in the Far East as part of the "World Ahead Program" education initiative and has recently appeared in Portugal where the Portuguese government have ordered 500,000 units for school children. Zoostorm have updated the design to make it more appropriate for the UK market by evolving the laptop into a fun leisure time device as well as a learning companion.

The Fizzbook Bang will be available for £299 Including VAT but there are a variety of Fizzbook options to meet your requirements.
