Ideas for school trips at Excursions 2009

Teachers seeking fresh ideas for days out and short breaks will find details from a huge variety of attractions, destinations and tour operators at Excursions 2009, the UK's premier one-day group travel show at Alexandra Palace, North London on Saturday, 17 January (10.30am-4pm).

Many of the attractions produce education resource packs and run workshop sessions tying in with the national curriculum, while selected tour operators offer special breaks for schools. Exhibitors include Maritime Greenwich in South East London; the Black Country Living Museum, West Midlands; Barleylands farm and craft village, Essex and the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, which boasts Europe's largest glass floor (see picture).
