NEW Education Product Suite for Microsoft Learning Gateway
Published:  10 November, 2008

ITWorx, a global leader in e-learning solutions based on the Microsoft Learning Gateway (MLG), launched its newest version of Education CatalystTM for schools and higher-education.

Catalyst is a pioneering product suite equipped with advanced tools that have been specifically designed to enable academic institutions to create their own websites, user data, user groups, and site memberships on MLG. Catalyst automates the tedious and laborious user provisioning and institution deployment processes, resulting in significant time and effort reduction. It also helps administrators to better manage daily tasks and customize profiles to their preference.

A new product has been added to the suite, CatalystTM Management Information Systems (MIS) Integrator, which automatically integrates and synchronizes all data collected and managed by Catalyst systems between the institution and district sides. The MIS Integrator saves time, eliminates redundancy, and allows academic institutions to enjoy accurate, reliable, and secure data.

Wael Amin, ITWorx President, comments: "The ITWorx Education Catalyst product suite is intuitive, user-friendly and demonstrates endless benefits to academic institutions; furthermore its ease and speed of deployment has so far encouraged many schools internationally to adopt e-learning solutions."

"Throughout 295 schools, ITWorx Education Catalyst suite has helped us in automating the laborious user provisioning and school deployment processes. The resulting cut down in deployment time was up to 80% in comparison to manual deployment. For example, 25 schools were deployed in 1.25 hours and 1,500 users were provisioned in under an hour. At this pace, we are able to complete deployments ahead of schedules, focusing on creating an engaging learning experience for students and boosting the daily and periodical provisioning tasks for our schools administrators," says Phillip Smith, Head of Information and Technical Support Services Support, Durham County Council.

ITWorx has had an impressive response from institutions worldwide selecting ITWorx Education offerings for their schools. In the UK alone, in addition to County Durham, nearly 200 schools in Kent are reaping the many benefits of ITWorx Education offerings and tools, as well as 13 schools in Essex.
