The school's head master, Roger Bateman, made the time to become involved and contribute to many aspects of the school's design during the construction period. An enthusiast for architecture as well as education, Roger commented:
"The Advanced cladding system features a 20 year warranty, fully sealed gasket trims, on-site formed thermofold corners and a totally bonded application method, which all contribute to provide an exceptionally easy clean food preparation environment."
Regarded as the area's flagship for primary education, Holy Trinity was completed less than a year ago by main contractor Wates Construction, at a cost of £4.9 million and has 450 pupils aged from 3 to 11.
The hygienic new kitchen enables the school's catering staff to produce a huge variety of meals, necessary to cope with a diverse cultural mix of pupils, including a daily Halal option. Currently around 60% of the pupils take advantage of the school's "healthy eating" lunch menu, which is all cooked fresh on the premises.
