ECO-POWRTM system offers energy saving solutions
Published:  12 September, 2008

SportsArt Fitness is leading the way not only in eco-friendly manufacturing operations, but also with innovative ‘green' fitness product designs that work towards reducing the carbon footprint and the detrimental impact on the environment.

The new ECO-POWRTM system is incorporated in the SportsArt Xtreme treadmills that will be on display at LIW 2008. The new motor is both maintenance free, self regulating, brushless drive system that delivers 5.0hp of performance, whilst using up to 32% less electricity than industry standard AC & DC motors. Without sacrificing an ounce of power, an average fitness facility operating 10 treadmills per day could save up to £2000* on electricity in a calendar year! (*Based on the national average cost per kilowatt hour of electricity.)

The unique design of the ultra high efficiency AC servo drive unit enables SportsArt to offer an unprecedented lifetime warranty on the ECO-POWRTM motor!

The new Xtreme treadmill belt cushioning system never looses its resilience and will offer the same cushioning effect at 30,000 miles as it does when new, providing for minimum joint impact and supporting use by all age groups and builds.

SportsArt Fitness was one of the first manufacturers of self-powered elliptical trainers and as a natural progression they also manufacture multiple self generating cycles that require absolutely no electricity to operate.

SportsArt Fitness UK are also displaying its range of commercial Strength training equipment, that combines modern features and functional ergonomic design to match the body's natural movement and ensure correct exercising posture.  SportsArt Fitness has experience in planning layouts for health clubs and educational facilities, advising on product selection and providing flexible financing/ leasing programmes to support interested parties.
