Solution for adjustable light Levels
Published:  12 September, 2008

CP Electronics have installed controls at the new automotive and engineering centre at Highfields Automotive & Engineering Training Centre part of Castle College, Nottingham, to provide accurate and easy adjustment of light levels. This is vital for today's classrooms which have to cater for both traditional teaching and high tech presentations. Flexibility and ease of use are key benefits.

CP Electronics has supplied its Vitesse Plus System with marshalling boxes for the classrooms and its long range microwave sensors for the corridors The Vitesse Plus Lighting Control Modules have the facility for connection to external devices such as light switches (ELV), presence detectors, and micro wave sensors.

The microwave detector unit is self-contained and requires no separate control or power supply boxes, which makes installation simple. And its detection range of up to 30 metres makes it ideal for use over large areas.

The Vitesse Plus System installed in the classrooms is programmed for absence detection, whilst providing daylight linking on the seats closest to windows so that illumination can be dimmed in those areas when sufficient natural daylight is available.

John Wilson, from Electract Electrical Installation Engineers, specifiers of the project commented "We are extremely happy with the installation, CP was very helpful and the solution provided was very competitive."
