Danwood continues its drive to reduce print costs within the public sector
Published:  12 September, 2008

For ten years Danwood has been an accredited supplier on the OGCbuying.solutions framework agreement for MFP Managed Print solutions to the UK public sector.  Danwood has campaigned to reduce the cost of print/copy/fax/scan output to all public sector organisations, which already include HM Treasury, Councils, NHS Trusts, Universities and more.

Chris Brown, Contracts Director of Danwood comments, "We have been successfully delivering cost and performance benefits to customers in the public sector for a decade under the terms of the Buying Solutions agreement and we are first class in our ability to benchmark costs so that our customers really understand the Total Cost of Ownership of their printing facilities.  Our achievements are numerous and a great example is the work we have done with Lancashire County Council.  Here we have been able to demonstrate a potential saving of over 36 per cent on document production costs which equates to significant cash savings, to the council and the people of the region."

A strong customer base in the education sector is also important to Chris Brown and Danwood.  "The print needs of the education sector are necessarily diverse.  We have worked with schools, colleges and universities to enhance services to students, cut costs and improve efficiency.  We have found our experience in this sector together with our relationship with OGCbuying.solutions is a great asset, as potential customers can see that we have a proven track record."
