Food waste removal
Published:  12 September, 2008

Disperator food waste disposers, available exclusively from Meiko UK, are designed for the immediate and hygienic removal of food waste from kitchen and food preparation areas.

The series includes bench mount, free-standing cabinet type, sink bowl fitting and trough mounted models, all with a 3 year manufacturer's parts warranty for complete piece of mind.

The bench mounted and free-standing models feature sloping safety covers with interlocked safety switching to prevent users accessing the rotating grinding unit during operation.  The sink-fitted units designed for installation with standard size sink bowls, feature a narrow waste inlet (80mm) making operator contact with the rotating grinding mechanism virtually impossible.

Whilst Disperator food waste disposers function primarily in isolation, they are also used as an integral component within Meiko UK's state of the art "MicroVac" vacuum food waste removal installations.  From the end of September the range will also be supported by a compact under table, wet waste dewatering unit, developed jointly between Meiko UK and the Disperator company, in response to demand from caterers looking for a sustainable solution to the handling of food waste.

The grinding assembly on all models is made from cast steel alloy with a specially designed shaft seal and an IP55 rated motor for long and trouble-free operation.  The safety cover guard and grinding motor assembly are both manufactured in high grade stainless steel for ease of cleaning and durability.
