Eleven school staff and one pupil ran the 5km Race for Life at the Embankment in Nottingham on Sunday 1st June, sporting specially designed t-shirts complete with the school logo from Hucknall-based Price & Buckland.
Admin support worker and frequent runner Vicky Gibson finished the race in 30 minutes, followed by Head of R.E. Jill Davison in 35 minutes - with the rest of the team crossing the finish line in under 50 minutes.
Headteacher at The Holgate School, Mr Crompton, is very proud of the efforts of his staff: "All the ladies who took part had personal reasons for running the race and the support and donations they have received from people at the school and friends and family has been great."
Mr Crompton continues: "Price & Buckland has once again supported our extra curricular events and kindly donated t-shirts to all the runners. The support of local companies is invaluable and the personalised t-shirts really made our staff feel proud to be running for the school."
