Students, teachers and universities to benefit from Wacom Education Partner Programme
Published:  10 July, 2008

Wacom today announces a UK ‘Certified Education Partner' programme, which will enable educational institutions and students to purchase Wacom products from specially selected, certified dealers at a discounted rate. As well as offering educational pricing, the certified dealers will be able to provide advanced Wacom product advice to ensure that educational customers find the most appropriate Wacom solution for their requirements.

Customers will benefit from the dealers' expertise in the education market through a specially trained sales person who will focus on providing the appropriate information to students, teachers and all other educational customers. This specialist advice will not only help educational customers to buy the right products, but will also provide guidance on getting the most out of them.

Ulrike Bakker, pan-European market development manager at Wacom, says: "The specialised expertise that will be on offer in our new educational partner scheme means that schools and colleges can now purchase Wacom products, safe in the knowledge that they have bought the correct set-up for their specific needs."

To find out the nearest Certified Education Partner, product information and contact information, educational customers can log on to the Wacom website - http://www.wacom.eu/ and click the ‘education' tab in the ‘use it' section on the home page.

The Bamboo pen tablet is also a useful tool as it allows for handwritten notes and corrections to be added to documents and presentations.

For creative applications, Wacom offers the Cintiq 12WX and Cintiq 21UX Interactive Pen Displays which allow for direct pen-on-screen drawing, painting and sketching. The Intuos3 pen tablet series offers high-level precision and advanced features to provide a more efficient way of working. The Intuos3 pen tablets are available in a wide range of sizes including wide format following the trend in the marketplace today. Bamboo Fun is bundled with Adobe Photoshop Elements and ArtRage2 creative software and can be used to create and design different pieces of art and graphics.
