Trish Robinson, breakfast club supervisor at the school, says: "The breakfast club gives children a good start to the day. We offer a healthy selection of cereals and toast with fruit juice to make sure kids enjoy a nutritious breakfast, which they may not always get at home.
"We keep the menu simple so kids know what they can expect and that way we can keep the costs low for parents. Toast is a particular favourite with pupils, but we've found it difficult to find a good, reliable toaster. We've relied on household toasters in the past but they just can't cope with the output required."
Hatco has offered a helping hand by supplying a new, professional slot toaster to help improve efficiency and output of the staple breakfast offering.
Miss Robinson says: "The toaster is invaluable; it's reliable, safe and gives the sort of output that we need from a toaster. It's also easy to clean because of the removable crumb tray and the control knobs are so easy to use.
"We've had problems in the past burning toast when the staff have their hands full with the children and can't get back to the toaster in time. The Hatco toaster has a simple but reliable temperature control which prevents this and is a massive help in this sort of environment."
