Fresher meals
Published:  10 July, 2008

School and university caterers are increasingly being encouraged to use healthier recipes and more raw ingredients to provide freshly cooked meals. This means that children and students can now expect better quality and more nutritious food, less processed food, and healthier more balanced meals.

This change in emphasis onto fresh food means that caterers need to invest in reliable hard-wearing refrigeration cabinets to safely store fresh ingredients for daily nutritious meals.

Caravell UK is the UK's largest wholesaler of commercial refrigeration products.  It is a one-stop shop solution for the industry, offering the broadest and most innovative range of freezing and cooling solutions.

Caravell's wide range includes blast chillers and freezers that rapidly cool down freshly-prepared hot food, so that when meal time arrives, children can enjoy their food with no risk of illness from harmful bacteria;  large upright chillers, upright freezers, and varying sizes of chest freezers.

The key ingredient to Caravell's recipe is reliability, performance and value.  Caravell provides parts and labour warranties, with efficient after-sales service and delivery.  Caravell will conduct a site survey prior to drop off and will book an AM delivery time to fit in with school kitchen hours.

Caravell can also assist schools when replacing their old refrigeration equipment responsibly. An in-house schools specialist at Caravell, Peter Adshead, can help you find your catering solutions.
